Ammon

Its scary you know?
Seeing your friend almost dying before your eyes, by an angell, it was hard to listen to his words at first,
He said stuff about destroying people's life,
I wanted to say "We didn't destroy, we weren't bad people" The angel wouldn't hear me, neither my friends, as we looked on his nearly dead body, refusing to answer us as we kept shaking i wanted to cry over him, my best friend Alma, we didn't have anywhere to go, our friend was unconscious in the middle of the hunting trail. The trail we weren't supposed to be at anyway, due to the boundries of our land meeting the Lamanites. We turned around and carried his limp carcass-like body back to his father, the old man seemed sympathetic at first, when we ranted about an angel, telling him what we knew to be true. He laughed then, the crazy man was laughing and screaming like a maniac he was saved
I wanted to correct him "Your son is dead, not saved"
Alma, the father kept saying he was saved, that Jesus Christ the messiah had taken him. We didn't object for some reason i can't remember, we sat back my brothers and I with the other saints in the same room, waiting for him to die i remember, and others pretending he was going to be ok that their "god" would deliver him.
We waited
And Waited
While we waited, i couldn't remember much, we couldn't stand their and do nothing, we played dice and listened to Alma's teaching for the first day until our ears practically fell off. The second day, interest took place, the man spoke of second chances, taking on another angel of what had happened to Alma. I remember the second night, asking Alma alot of questions about the church....
"Will this...Messiah save my friend?"
"If you believe in him" Alma said, stroking his beard, sitting back calmly, as if we were having a conversation about rabbits, about flowers instead of his son's life
"How do you believe in him?" Ammon asked, looking at the floor, if it was that easy he would do anything for his friend, he remembered Almaputting a hand on his shoulder
"You pray my son" He soothed "You study, pray and ask if it is his will"
"And he will answer, what if it not his will"
"Then Alma my son will die, but i do not think Heavenly father would do that to him, he is young, naive to so many of the worlds splender, and like a child in that way, you and your bretheren striked out on so many christan's against false prejudice, and your stubborn pride, no i think this is a warning not a death"
"A warning?"
"A warning to be good for you, but for Alma, he needed something much more serious, Alma i believe is confronting every problem he has ever faced alone, and he needs your help Ammon, pray for him tonight, when everyone is asleep pray he will recover and not be so guilt stricken"
"Does this...Confronting Hurt Alma?" Ammon kept asking, he wanted answers
"Yes, its like a list of what he did wrong, in darkness i bet, plenty of darkness"
"But...What of the Messiah?"
"Eventually the dark must end. But until then we wait and pray"
Ammon waited then, he stood up until every member saint, child baby, friend and Alma slept.

"Father,
I Don't know what to say,
please,
Save my Friend"
